  • NEW PROGRM INTEREST SURVEY INFORMATION:

    Surry Community College is conducting a study to ascertain if there is sufficient interest in the college offering a program in Cyber Crime. If a favorable response is achieved, we may start a program as early as fall 2010.

    Accessing Library Databases Off-Campus

    To access the Library Databases, you must use your SCC Login.  If you are a new student at Surry CC, or if you have not logged into your e-mail account from off-campus in a previous term (Summer '09 forward),  the password for your SCC login must first be changed.  You can log on to your campus e-mail account for the first time from any campus computer to change your password.  If you do not attend a class on campus you can call the IT and Computer Services Help Desk to have your password reset.

  • IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR STUDENTS:  Fall '09

    All online and hybrid courses are now available as well as supplemental course sites for face-to-face courses. 

    Need to Drop A Online or Hybrid Class?  Send an email to your instructor or Dr. Candace Holder (holderc@surry.edu).  Be sure to include your name, course you want to drop and the reason for dropping.  You will be notified of the status.

  • New User Accounts

    Surry implemented a new user ID format this past summer.  Students will need to login using your new Surry user account.  You can verify your username and password at www.surry.edu and clicking on the KnightLife icon.  In the botton right corner you will see "Account Information".  Once you verify your user ID your initial password for using KnightLife, Moodle and SCC student email is your 6-digit birth date. 

    The Moodle login option is to the right of this message.

    Once you login you will see Surry Online on the left of your page. Click the folder to see the courses you are enrolled in.

Welcome to Your Moodle Course.

Login using your new Surry user account.  You can verify your username and password at http://www.surry.edu/un_request.html. The login option is to the right of this message.

Once you login you will see Surry Online on the left of your page. Click the folder to see the courses you are enrolled in.

Trouble Logging into Moodle?

If you are using Internet Explorer and experiencing problems, perform the steps below to delete your cookies, passwords, and add Moodle to your Trusted Sites. 

Internet Explorer Directions

  1. Click on Tools, then select Internet Options.
  2. On the General tab, delete your cookies and saved passwords, then click Close.
  3. Click the Security tab.
  4. Click on Trusted Sites.
  5. When the Sites button appears, click it.
  6. In the textbox below the "Add this website to the zone, add http://online.surry.edu.
  7. Remove the green checkmark from the box beside Require server verification....
  8. Click the Add button.
  9. Click the Close button.
  10. Click the OK button.
  11. Close the browser window to be sure the new changes are saved.
  12. Re-open the browser window and login in.
