Summer, 2008 was a transitional semester for Surry Online.  Surry is currently phasing in Moodle as a new learning management system for offering courses online.

During this phase-over some courses will be delivered on Blackboard.  The complete move to Moodle will take place Fall, 2010.

Students should contact the helpdesk at online@student.surry.edu or 336.386.3420 if technical assistance is required.  Contact the instructor for all course and content related questions.

If you are using Internet Explorer and experiencing problems, perform the steps below to delete your cookies, passwords, and add Moodle to your Trusted Sites. 

Internet Explorer Directions

1. Click on Tools, then select Internet Options.
2. On the General tab, delete your cookies and saved passwords, then click Close.
3. Click the Security tab.
4. Click on Trusted Sites.
5. When the Sites button appears, click it.
6. In the textbox below the "Add this website to the zone, add http://online.surry.edu.
7. Remove the green checkmark from the box beside Require server verification....
8. Click the Add button.
9. Click the Close button.
10. Click the OK button.
11. Close the browser window to be sure the new changes are saved.
12. Re-open the browser window and login in.

Welcome to Your Moodle Course.

Login using your new Surry user account.  You can verify your username and password at http://www.surry.edu/un_request.html. The login option is to the right of this message.

Once you login you will see Surry Online on the left of your page. Click the folder to see the courses you are enrolled in.
